Sci-Fi.funは、時空を超えたの記録の断片である。
脈絡はないし、なにがしかの答えがあるわけでもない。
例えるならば、瓶に入れた手紙を海に流し、それが浜辺に流れ着いて開いてみたようなものだ。
誰が残したのかは不明。いつ記録されたのかも不明。
メッセージの多くは、亜空間から届いたものだ。
人智を越えた超文明の遺産である「銀河図書館」が、あらゆる言語を翻訳してくれる。
つまり、差出人が人間とは限らないし、別の宇宙の可能性もある。
銀河図書館は太陽系から約1万光年離れた星系で見つかった。
そこに存在していたのは「ダイソン球」だった。
可能性として考えられていたダイソン球が実在したことも驚きだが、主が不在だったことはもっと驚きだった。

その謎はいまだ解明されていないが、ダイソン球は人工知性として機能していた。
我々は、「彼女」から多くのことを学んだ。銀河図書館が疑似人格として投影した姿が女性だったため、「彼女」と呼ばれるようになった。
銀河図書館は宇宙に存在する無数の星々から、情報を絶えず収集し蓄積している。そのための探査機が無数に放たれていた。星が誕生すると、銀河図書館は記録を開始するようだ。
地球の歴史も、太陽系の誕生の頃から記録されていた。化石でしか見ることができなかった、恐竜の生きた姿も残されていた。
私は銀河図書館の司書として派遣された。
多くの情報は機密扱いだから、公開することができない。
しかし、「ゴミ」に分類されている情報には、公開制限がかかっていない。
そんなゴミ扱いの情報にも、価値はあるものだ。
私はゴミを拾って公開していくつもりだ。
……というような設定(^_^)
形式としては短い小説だから「ショート・ショート」になるが、物語の断片、一部分の抜き出し的なものなので、それを「小片小説」と私は呼んでいる。

It’s like a letter in a bottle that washes up on the beach and you open it up.
It is unknown who left it. It is also unknown when they were recorded.
Many of the messages came from subspace.
The Galactic Library, a legacy of a super civilization beyond human knowledge, translates all languages.
This means that the sender is not necessarily human, and could be from another universe.
The Galactic Library was found in a star system about 10,000 light years away from our solar system.
What existed there was a “Dyson Sphere”.
It was surprising that the Dyson Sphere, which had been thought to be a possibility, actually existed, but it was even more surprising that its master was absent.

The mystery of the Dyson sphere has yet to be solved, but it was functioning as an artificial intelligence.
We learned a lot from “The Lady”. She was called “The Lady” because the image projected by the Galactic Library as a pseudo-personality was female.
The Galactic Library is constantly collecting and accumulating information from the countless stars that exist in the universe. Countless probes have been released for this purpose. It seems that when a star is born, the Galactic Library starts recording it.
The history of the Earth had also been recorded since the birth of the solar system. There were also living dinosaurs, which we had only been able to see in fossils.
I was sent to work as a librarian at the Galactic Library.
Much of the information is classified, so it cannot be released to the public.
However, information classified as “garbage” is not restricted from disclosure.
Even such garbage information has value.
I’m going to pick up the garbage and publish it.

In form, it is a “short short” because it is a short novel, but I call it a “small fragment novel” because it is a fragment of a story, an excerpt of a part of a story.
