魔族の女魔術師トゥリアンダフィリャは、エルフ族との戦いに破れ、かろうじて逃げのびた。
この世界“エザフォス”で最高の魔術師を自認していた彼女にとって、英雄カイトに刃が立たなかったことは大きな誤算だった。彼は彼女の魔法攻撃を、ことごとく打ち砕いた。戦士として強いだけでなく、魔力も並外れていたのだ。
エルフが彼の召喚に成功したことが敗因だった。
トゥリアンダフィリャも、召喚魔法で強力な魔女を召喚しようとした。しかし、召喚は失敗に終わった。

彼らの敗北は、エルフ族とラルウァ・レイスとのパワーバランスが変わることを意味する。エルフ族は好戦的ではないものの、ラルウァ・レイスを恐れなくなる。東と南のラルウァ・レイスにも、その影響は出てくるだろう。
トゥリアンダフィリャは、再起の方法を考えていた。このままエルフ族に負けたままではいられない。
